Eligibility
Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the govt of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the govt of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate
Educational qualifications (as on 31st March, 2011): Graduate in any discipline with 40% or more marks in aggregate from a recognized university or its equivalent qualification (SC/ST/XS/PwD candidates must obtain 35% marks)
Computer literacy is essential for the post
Relaxation for SC/ST/XS/PwD candidates as per govt guidelines in the matter
All educational qualifications should be from a recognized university/board/central/state administration
The recruitment will be on state-wise/union territory wise basis. A candidate can make an application for only one state or union territory and he/she should be willing to be posted at any place in that state/union territory
The candidates should note that they are liable to be posted anywhere in the state/union territory depending on bank’s needs
Further he/she will have to appear for the written test from an examination center specified for that particular state/union territory only and examination call letter will be issued accordingly
Age (as on 31st March, 2011): Minimum 18 years, maximum 28 years
Relaxation in upper age limit: SC/ST by 5 years; OBC by 3 years; PwD by 10 years; Ex-Servicemen by 3 years (in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years); widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who have not remarried by 9 years
Date of written examination: The written examination is tentatively fixed for Sunday, 12th June, 2011 at the centres indicated below

Call letters: Candidates should download the call letters for written test from our website from 27th May, 2011 onwards. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent by the bank by post
Selection procedure: All the eligible candidates who apply for the post with requisite fee and whose applications are registered in time will be called for written examination. The written examination shall be objective in nature consisting of 4 papers for a composite duration of 1 hour and 35 minutes, as below
Test of Reasoning Ability and Numerical aptitude; Test of Clerical aptitude; Test of English language; Test of General Knowledge
Candidates have to pass in each of the objective test separately. Passing mark for written test is 40% (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates). Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the objective test will be called for interview. Mere eligibility/pass in the examination shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview
Minimum qualifying mark in interview is 40% (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates)
Final selection will be on the basis of merit ranking after adding the marks obtained in the objective tests and interview
The detailed information regarding written examination will be available in the bank’s website under acquaint yourself and may be downloaded
Those who are eligible for interview shall be subjected to computer literacy test
Those selected for interview, will be intimated venue, date and time by E-mail only and no separate communication by post will be sent
Pre-examination training (for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/minority community candidates only): The bank will arrange Pre-examination training at the following centres for a limited number of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Religious Minority community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the govt of India Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai
Applicants belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate choice of center in the space provided for in the application form
Appointment: The candidates selected finally from each state will be appointed within the state in accordance with the norms framed by the bank in this behalf and should be prepared to work in any branch including a village branch. However, the candidates meant for proposed branches will be parked in the nearest branch for the purpose of on job training
Probation and approximate total emoluments: 6 months
Total emoluments for graduates at the start of the scale in SWO cadre will be Rs 13,500/- (approx) (including DA/HRA), other benefits include conveyance, medical aid, LFC and retirement benefits, as per the bank’s rules
Application fee including out of pocket expenses (non refundable): For SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen Rs 50/-; all others (including OBCs) Rs 200/-
Application fee including out of pocket expenses should be paid in case at any of the branches of corporation bank to A/c No-0377/CA/01/000731
Payment of application fees/or out of pocket expenses by demand draft/cheques/money order/postal order will not be accepted
HOW TO APPY FOR CORPORATION BANK CRERICAL RECRUITMENT 2011 ?
How to apply: Eligible candidates are required to apply on-line only through our website www.corpbank.inbetween 04th April, 2011 to 25th April, 2011 and no other means/mode of application will be acceptable
Candidates are required to have a valid active personal e-mail ID and should not change the same during the course of the recruitment process to ensure smooth communication. Communication will be sent to such email ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to/or any other person
In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her e-mail ID before applying on-line
Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.corpbank.in and click on careers. Then go to recruitment of SWO-2011-12, read the advertisement carefully and ensure that you are eligible for the post
Take a print out of fee payment challan and fill it in a clear and legible handwriting in block letters. The challan is in duplicate
Go to the nearest corporation bank branch with the fee payment challan and pay, in cash, the requisite application fee along with the appropriate commission which is Rs 10/- at present. The details of fee to be paid between 04th April, 2011 and 25th April, 2011
Obtain your receipt copy of the application fee payment receipt duly receipted by the bank with branch name; branch code number; receipt number (TSL number); date of deposit; amount filled by the branch official
Candidates are now ready to apply online by re-visiting the bank’s website and going to the sub link to open up the appropriate online application format
Carefully fill in the details from the recruitment application fee payment receipt in the online application form at the appropriate places
Care should be taken by the applicant while filling in information in the online application form. Copy the fee payment details from the fee payment receipt
After filling in the details on the application form candidates are required to submit the application online, once submitted a registration number and password will be generated by the system, kindly note the same for future use
Take a printout of the system generated application form immediately. The printout of the application form must not be sent to the bank
Candidates should keep Xerox copy of the application printout and original fee payment challan for their record
Original fee payment challan will have to be submitted along with the call letter at the time of written test/interview. Without the original fee payment challan the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the written test/interview
