Experience:
Minimum 2 years, experience in Chemical/Microbiological analysis of fish products

General conditions :
1) Candidates employed in Govt. /Semi-Govt./Public Sector Undertaking should send their
applications through proper channel. However advance copies of applications can be sent
directly.
2) The upper age limit prescribed for all post is relaxable by a maximum of 10 years in the case
of SC/ST employees of MPEDA and its Societies. In the case of open SC/ST candidates, the
upper age is relaxable by 5 years.
3) For the post of JTO (EP), ST candidates and for the post of JTO (QC), SC candidates need
only apply. They are exempted from the remittance of application fee.
4) Experience in the requisite discipline/field only will be considered.
5) Applications which are received late/incomplete/without the copies of certificates attested by
Gazetted Officers and without Demand Draft will be summarily rejected.
6) If selected, the recruits are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
7) Copies of certificates (in support of the details furnished against Sl. No. 5,6,7 and 13 of the
proforma of application) attested by Gazetted Officers should be enclosed.

Subject: Filling up the post of Executive Officer [PB-2 ` 9300-34800 + ` 4600 Grade Pay] in the
Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Mumbai on deputation basis.
One vacancy in the grade of Executive Officer in the Pay Band-2 (` 9300-34800) + ` 4600
Grade Pay (revised) is proposed to be filled up on deputation basis initially for a period of one
year and may be extended upto three years. The details prescribed for the post, proforma of

5. Educational qualification for Direct recruits: Essential:
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) 3 years’ experience in Administration, accounts and establishment matters in Government/
Semi Government organisation.
Desirable:
Experience in work relating to Lighthouses.
6. Method of Recruitment: Deputation:
Officer(s) of the Central Government:
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department, or
(ii) With 2 years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the
pre-revised scale of pay ` 6500-10500 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department; or
(iii) With 5 years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the
pre-revised scale of pay of ` 5500-9000, or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department.
Note – 1 The Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion
shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall
not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note – 2 Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held
immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of
the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The maximum age limit for
appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of
application.
7. Duties: To assist the Director General of Lighthouses & Lightships in matters pertaining to
Administrative and financial sanctions for Capital/Revenue works of the Directorate, general

(ii) While forwarding applications, the Confidential Reports (photocopies of the CRs/ APARs each
page duly attested by an Officer not below the rank of Under Secretary) for the last five years,
Vigilance Clearance Certificate, Integrity Certificate and Statement showing penalties, if any,
imposed during the last ten years, may positively be furnished by the sponsoring authority.
(iii) The officer selected will have the option to draw his/her grade pay plus deputation (duty)
allowance or to have his/her pay fixed in the scale of the post in accordance with DOP&T O.M.
No.2/12/87-Estt (Pay II) dated 29.04.1988, as amended from time to time.
