Instructions for candidates to apply online for Clerks and POs:
1. The candidates have to apply online only through www.andhrabank.in from 25-01-2011 to 22-02-2011.
2. Before online apply the candidate has to down load the fee challan from www.andhrabank.in and fill the challan and Pay the fee in any Andhra Bank branches or pay through NEFT in any bank.
3. After payment of fee the candidate should obtain the fee receipt by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Branch Code Number (b) Transaction ID (c) date of deposit & amount filled in by the Branch Official.
4. Before applying online the candidate should have a valid E mail ID otherwise create a new E mail ID that should be in working for the duration of the project.
5. The candidate revisits the www.andhrabank.in and submits the application
6. The candidates have to apply online by having fee challan and necessary certificates to complete the application.
7. After filling the details carefully click submit button and note down the allotted System Generated Application Registration Number and Password for future use after that take a print out of the application for further references.
8. The candidate should submit the original counterfoil of Fee challan or NEFT fee payment challan along with call letter at the time of written test otherwise the candidate not allowed for the written test.
Note: The candidates have a facility to modify the submitted online application after 2 days of registration up to 24-02-2011.

Age limit: For Clerks 18-28 years, for Probationary Officers (PO) 18-30 years age relaxation as per rules.
Educational qualification:
For Clerks: Degree in any discipline from recognized university or 10+2 or equivalent with 60% marks.
For Probationary Officers: Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from recognized university with 60% marks or its equivalent CGPA.

The candidates have the option to answer the objective test in Hindi or English except the Test on English Language, which has to be answered in English only.
Note: The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective type test as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of performance in each test subject to a minimum of 40% marks (35% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) in aggregate. Wrong answers given in the objective test will result in negative marks.

Descriptive Test :

The candidates appearing for the exam of Probationary Officer Post have the option to answer Descriptive Paper in Hindi or English.

The candidates appearing for the exam of Clerk post have the option to answer Descriptive Paper in Hindi or English or Official Language of the State.
The Descriptive Test for the Post of Probationary Officers and Clerks is only of qualifying nature and the marks obtained there in shall not be reckoned for preparing the merit list.

For the post of Probationary Officers and Clerks the final Selection will be made on the basis of Marks obtained in Written Test and Interview.

Accordingly list of selected candidates will be drawn in order of merit.
Candidate has to secure minimum marks of 40% (35% in case of SC/ST/PWD) in the interview to be eligible for selection to any of the posts

Pre-Examination Training (For recruitment of Probationary Officers & Clerks only) It is proposed to impart free Pre-Examination Training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes /Minority communities at some examination centres at the discretion of the Bank. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail Pre-examination Training should invariably fill in the relevant column in the application format. All expenses regarding traveling, boarding, lodging, etc. will be borne by the candidate for attending the Pre-examination Training programme at the concerned Training Centre. The Bank has the discretion to add or delete the pre examination training centres indicated below.
Candidates must secure 40% average in objective tests which also has negative marks for wrong answers
Application Fee: Rs 400/- for PO, Rs 250/- for Clerks , (Rs 75/-for SC-ST ) pay the fee through fee payment challan in any nearest Andhra Bank branches.

CALL LETTERS FOR THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION

The dates of the written examination are TENTATIVELY FIXED as follows:
Post : Probationary Officers : 08.05.2011
Clerks : 15.05.2011
However the dates will be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue for the examination, well in advance of the date of written examination.

All eligible candidates will receive call letters by post at the correspondence address given by the candidate in their application form. Eligible candidates who do not receive the written test call letter may download the duplicate call letter from our bank’s website www.andhrabank.in by entering his/her details between the following dates. For the post of Probationary Officer Candidates can download their call letters from 03.05.2011 to 07.05.2011 from the Bank’s website
For the post of Clerk Candidates can download their call letters from 10.05.2011 to 14.05.2011 from the Bank’s website In case of any difficulty, candidate should contact the Bank’s office at the respective centre’s address
between 03.05.2011 and 07.05.2011 for the post of Probationary Officer
